Reviews for The Polio Hole The Story of the Illness that Changed America
"The Polio Hole is a great, informative book that teaches you about so many things. Shelleys fight against polio was exciting! I liked how it told you so many interesting facts about polio. This is a story to remember for the rest of your life!"
Matthew Blanton, 6th Grade Speech Class |
"I love the book, The Polio Hole, because it is inspiring. It makes me want to go out and be a hero. It is such a great book because it feels like you are really there fighting it yourself. I love where there are flashbacks and similes and a lot of things that pull you in even more. I also like that the book is interactive; there are questions at the end of each chapter. This is why I think people my age, in middle school, should read this book and when they grow up they might become a doctor helping kids fight big diseases like cancer some day."
Jami Mansolo, 6th Grade Speech Class
"I really, really love this book because it really explains what its like to have polio. I also love the questions at the end of the chapters."
