Reviews for The Polio Hole The Story of the Illness that Changed America
I think 101 Dog Street is great because it’s cool, funny, and fun. I liked when Jake told Amos to jump over the fence. 101 Dog Street is the best book ever!

Christine

I love 101 Dog Street because it is cute, funny, and the characters; Lucy, Jake, Pickles, Gussie Louise and Tessee are nice.

Megan

Tessee is a great character. I like when Amos is lonely, and then he found some friends who came along.

Sarah

I really like it when the hawks attack the puppies because it is cool and funny.

Marley

I like 101 Dog Street because it is a made- up story. I really like when Amos saves Lucy from the
bull.

Halle

I really like the rude squirrels. And then Amos finds some nice friends.

Jake

I really like the major character Amos, who gets hit on the head with nuts that rude squirrels throw.

Sara

I liked 101 Dog Street because a dog like Amos is my favorite animal. His problem was loneliness, but then he wasn’t.

Kelsey

I think 101 Dog Street is the best dog book I ever read. Dogs are one of my favorite animals. And I really liked the rude squirrels.

Thomas

I liked when the dog named Jake told Amos to take steps and he had to count them. And when Amos saved the pups at the grassy place.

Nate

I love when Amos is talking to the bull. And I really like when the squirrel calls Amos "BONE HEAD!"

Will

I liked 101 Dog Street because is is funny, cool, and awesome. I liked Amos the most because he’s the main character. He didn’t like his loneness. Then Jake came into his life, and Lucy.

Jackson

Amos goes through a wire, which felt like 30 bee stings. At the end he gets friends. It’s a fun book.

William

I like 101 Dog Street because it is so funny. Amos is bummed-out and lonely. Then he gets friends.

Kristanna

I love this book a lot because it is funny. I also love when Amos finds the keys and when Amos meets Tessee.

Sydney

In 101 Dog Street there is a dog named Amos. His owner Ned has to move far way so he dropped Amos off at his father’s and mother’s house. And then a voice calls to him.

Isabel

I liked the part when Amos feels something between his toes. Amos starts out as a lonely dog, but then he finds Jake, Miss Lucy and Tessee.

Harrigan

I like this book because it is funny, and I like the characters. My favorite is Tessee because my name is Tess!

Love, Tess

This book takes place in the present. And the problem is that Amos has no friends. I really liked it when Jake told Amos to jump over the fence.

Matthew

The plot of this book is that Amos has no one to love him. Then he jumps over the fence and saves puppies from hawks, and then gets friends.
